What Affiliates Do

Affiliates focus on the human side of the service:

Affiliate Tiers

  • For areas not yet activated.

    PRaaS™ expands county by county. In locations not yet licensed or coordinated, Tier 0 Affiliates prepare the ground.

    You may:

    • Build local interest

    • Gather pre-registrations

    • Identify potential repeater sites

    • Participate in training

    • Help us assess your county’s readiness

    You may not:

    • Program radios

    • Claim coverage exists

    • Install equipment

    • Handle encryption

    Tier 0 automatically transitions to Tier 2 once the county becomes active.

  • Light involvement. Simple referral model.

    Advocates help spread the word. Ideal for individuals who want to support the mission without taking on formal responsibilities.

    Benefits include:

    • One-time commission for each new subscriber

    • 5% wholesale discount on radios

    Advocates do not:

    • Resell radios for profit

    • Handle any technical aspects

    • Represent Shielded Signals at the county level

    This is our entry-level tier for community-minded supporters.

  • Our primary local partners.

    Tier 2 Affiliates represent Shielded Signals in an active service area. They support local subscribers, assist with onboarding, and serve as the point of contact for their county.

    Requirements:

    $249 annual fee
    OR
    Maintain 10 active subscribers

    Benefits:

    • 20% recurring revenue share

    • 15% wholesale radio pricing

    • Listed as the official affiliate for that county

    • Priority for future expansion opportunities

    Restrictions:

    • No programming

    • No encryption handling

    • No firmware modifications

    • No RF engineering

    Shielded Signals handles all sensitive system work so Tier 2 Affiliates can focus on people, not infrastructure.

  • Earned through proven engagement and subscriber support. Not territory-based.

    Tier 3 Partners support multiple counties and help coordinate Tier 2 affiliates. They are experienced partners with a strong track record of subscriber engagement, supporting at least 50 subscribers spread across 2 or more counties (or one urban metropolitan area). They bring the highest level or professionalism and reliable support to Shielded Signals subscribers.

    Benefits:

    • 30–40% recurring revenue share

    • 25% wholesale radio pricing

    • Regional recognition within the network

    • Involvement in multi-county deployments

    Important Clarifications:

    • Tier 3 Partners do not own territory

    • They do not control spectrum

    All FCC licensing, frequencies, and encryption remain under Shielded Signals

    Tier 3 is earned through subscriber support, not geography

    This prevents territorial disputes and ensures fairness as the network scales.

2. Schedule an Onboarding Conversation

We’ll reach out to discuss your county, your interest level, and which tier aligns with your goals. This is not a sales call! it’s a two-way conversation to make sure the program is a good fit for both of us.

3. Receive Program Materials & Guidance

If approved, you’ll receive your affiliate onboarding packet, starter materials, and next steps tailored to your area. Tier 0 Affiliates will also receive guidance on how to build local interest.

4. Begin Supporting Local Users

Once active, you’ll help families, small businesses, farms, nonprofits, and preparedness-minded groups get connected with secure, designed for off-grid VHF communication. all backed by Shielded Signals.
